Ready for a big year

The Sherwood Midget AAA Falcons will be looking to start off the 2009/2010 season with a win in Summerside on October 14. The Sherwood Falcons will be returning to the ice this season with 9 veteran players. The defensive end will be back by the strong play of veterans Logan Hughes, Trevor MacKinnon, Ryan Walker and Ryan Ladner and will be rounded out by Owen Wilson and Daniel McAulay. The team will have depth upfront with returning players Josh Kirkpatrick, Brandon Birt, Brady Cook, Stewart MacLean and Cody Keenan. The new additions of Mike Callaghan and Matt McQuaid will add size and scoring to this high powered offense. The forwards will be rounded out with Kurt Gaudet, John Grimmer, Aaron LeBlanc all coming from Bantam AAA and Justin Doyle will round out with a scoring touch. Lucas Currie and Alex Watts will be back stopping the Sherwood Falcons this coming season and both goaltenders are at the top of their game with great performances in their exhibition games. The Sherwood Falcons will have their home opener on Thursday, October 15th vs. the Kings County Kings at 8:00 PM at Cody Banks Arena.
